Working hard on writing and drawing pictures for their first entry in their learning book.

We had 2 great days… I am able to see a lot of great learning happening in our class. I do need your help with one very important issue. Most of the children are not speaking in French. Please encourage them daily on the importance of speaking in French all the time in class. It is mandatory in grade 2 to speak the language. They have it! It is there… They need that little daily encouragement to go for it.

We will be starting our homework routine next week… It is all about reading. Our children should read for 10 minutes every night. Please set them up to read daily. It is the most valuable learning they can do. You don’t need to understand what they are saying to know if it sounds right. Please get them to talk about their reading. What is happening in the book? Who is the most important character? If they liked or didn`t like the book and why?You will also find all of the happening events at school on the homework sheet. I want you to be aware of what is happening at school. Please sign the homework sheet. That is one way of me knowing that our children have read.
